My First Painting

This is my first painting from 2018.
I love her. She’s wild, unfiltered, and totally herself.

That moment of nervous excitement—standing at the easel, not knowing what would unfold—became the start of a lifelong creative journey that changed how I meet myself and others through art.

Menopause! There, I said it.

I was most unprepared for what would happen to my body and psyche at this age.

I’d been cocky, taking my health for granted. Eating well, exercising, doing all the practices…

I saw it happen to others and thought, that won’t happen to me.

But it did.

Menopause.
